All scheduled safaris have an itinerary. The cheapest type of safaris are the participation camping safaris where all participants assist with camp chores. On the 5 star luxury lodge safaris - all you do is enjoy the wildlife, scenery, cuisine and the safari staff take care of everything - these safaris will obviously cost the most and are designed for the discerning explorer.
THE GAME VIEWING EXPERIENCE
Without doubt - the private game reserves will offer the best wildlife experience, as the number of tourists allowed into their reserves are limited. The climate and seasons will also affect your wildlife experience, so be sure you are aware of what to expect when you go on safari in the Southern Hemisphere. The Big Five mammals are fantastic to view, there are very many other species as well.
